Salvation Army Bell Ringing - Saturday, December 14

Join KIC as we partner with the Salvation Army of Milwaukee County to join their long standing holiday tradition of ringing bells to fill the red kettles.

Purpose: We will be joining the Red Kettle Mission as Bell Ringers. Bell ringing is a long standing holiday tradition across the nation. Children of all ages, along with their parents, will have the opportunity engage with community members by maning a red kettle and ringing a bell. Donations support more than 80 programs and services in Milwaukee County, including the Salvation Army Toy Shop, the Backpack and School Supplies Program, Coats for Kids, Christmas Family Feast, the Emergency Lodge and two food pantries.

Impact: Though conversation, good cheer, singing (not required) and bell ringing, children will experience how their actions help fill the red kettle and bring smiles to community members. They will also see that many small donations create a large one and everyone’s contribution makes a difference.

Activities: Families will socialize with people passing by, offer cheerful holiday greetings, sing carols (if you like) and ring the red kettle bells. This is a very fun and joyful family activity.

When, Where & How: Winkies in Whitefish Bay on Saturday, December 14 from 4pm-6pm. Families can sign-up for a 30 minute shift. Within 24hrs of registering, you will receive an email with a google doc to sign-up for your specific shift.
